It's Almost Time
April 10th is four days away.
I've been sitting with this book for a long time now — or maybe not long at all, depending on how you count. And I find myself in that strange space between wanting to put it in everyone's hands immediately and wanting to hold onto it just a little longer. Because once it's out there, it belongs to the world and not just to me anymore.
That's terrifying. It's also exactly right.
So here's what I'll give you before Thursday.
A few things that are true about this book:
The title came before the book did. Probably Nothing is what a doctor said to me about a symptom that turned out to be a stroke. Two words that changed everything. I couldn't let them go.
I had a stroke on January 10th. I started writing this book on February 10th — one month later, still in the middle of it, still figuring out what my body was and wasn't going to do anymore.
It releases April 10th. Three months to the date.
I didn't plan that. But I don't think it's an accident either.
There's a chapter I almost cut four times. It's now one of my favorites. The things we almost delete are sometimes the truest things we've written.
I laughed while writing parts of it. Genuinely laughed. Dark humor is a survival skill and this book has some of both — the dark and the humor — because that's what the experience actually was.
I cried writing other parts. Once at 2am in the kitchen. Nelly found me. She didn't ask questions. She just stayed.
What I hope you do with it
Read it if you've ever been dismissed. Read it if you've ever fought a system that wasn't built for you. Read it if you know someone who has.
And if it hits something real — tell me. I read every message.
